I have been asked by different people both here in the world of blogs and in my day to day life, "how do you pronounce the name" " Why that name" and "what happened to the name you always wanted" (Bailey)
Last question first, Since I was a little girl I always loved the name Bailey and when Andrew and I started talking about having a child Bailey was always the name for a girl, no other names even came into the running & No it had nothing to do with Bailey's Irish Creme (which I luv, luv, luv). As the years went by and we weren't blessed with a child, my love of the name didn't waver but when not one but 2 families named their dog Bailey the name lost its shine.
So like most people I took out pad and pen and went onto the net to check out names.
Ainsley,Aislinn, Aisling Bethany, Eva, Faith, Hope,Joy,Mia,Regan, Rylee & Shea to name a few.
Rachael took the list first and crossed off most of the names, NO she isn't blood related and Yes she has a major say in this process (she plans on painting and decorating the baby's room with out my help, just my credit card! Scary part is I might let her do it!) But that's another post. Back to the list, next it went to Stew-be, he agreed with Rach and crossed off all but one and it was the one I liked.
Now how do you pronounce it? Aislinn- Ash-Lyn
The meaning of the name is Vision, Dream and the origin is Celtic/Gaelic.
Her middle name will be Mariah. This name was always the middle name in honor of both grandmothers, Andrew's mom Maria and my mom's middle name is Maria.
We still are undecided about whether or not to use part of her Chinese name.

This month seem to go pretty quick, not as fast as the first month but quick nevertheless.
It was a busy month for us. We had 3 birthdays to celebrate this month, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our brother in law, Mike, Our nephew & my godson Matthew who turned 14 and to one of my munchkins Connor who turned 11. There was also 4 moving up days, our niece Saorla & another of my munchkins Meagan both graduated from preschool and moving up from elementary to middle school our niece Andrea and my munchkin Connor. Connors baseball team made the play-offs but sadly lost, so the season is over for another year.Yay!Not for the lost but for one less thing to run for. Summer is in full swing here on Long Island, the pool is open( it's a little round one, just big enough for the kids to relax in and cool off) and we had our first BBQ of the season. When looking at the calendar I think we have something going every weekend in July and half of August and I still have to plan a shower for my kid sisters wedding and get my dress (I'm the maid of honour).Last Friday night Andrew & I spent sometime with one of Andrew's oldest friends. We don't get to see Joe and his son that much but as always we had a great time catching up and reminiscing about all the trouble they got into as kids.
On the computer front, I am getting a little ( and I do mean a little) bit more comfortable with this monster (computer)but I still miss my dell and my window ME.

THE WEEK FROM HELL
The Irish Times Pub. As always dinner was great, afterwards we had to go to the bowling alley to pick up money from Andrew's Friday night bowling league. While waiting for everyone to get there, my darling hubby accidentally (yea right) kicked my left foot and ripped my big toes nail off! Can you say ouch! After getting home, soaking it and trying to get the nail off my toe( it was hanging by a thread) I went on my computer to look something up for my FIL, just as I found what I was looking for, my computer screen went blue. I tried to restart it but had no luck. On Monday I dropped it off with a friend to see if he could see what was wrong. When he called on Tuesday, the news wasn't good. Mycomputer was beyond repair:( Thankfully he was able to get all my adoption documents onto a disc) . So off to buy a new computer, not something I wanted to do or was ready to do. I HATE change. I was use to my computer, knew all of its quirks. Now I have to learn a whole new computer. This Picture says it all! The week that just passed has been a week to end all weeks. Lets start with last Saturday,Andrew's parent came into town for 2 days. So on Saturday night we went to dinner at my favorite restaurant
Monday night bought about an appointment with the foot doctor, again OUCH, with out going into to many details lets just say there was digging involved. So for the next few weeks it soaking and wrapping my toe till the new nail grows in. Of course hubby states it my own fault that this happen, I was wearing flip flops ( go figure, sandals in the summer, what was I thinking?) and if I had on sneakers, this would of never happened.
So injured toe, no computer, I lost all my favorites that were stored into my computer, all the blogs that I read, all the websites I have collected for China with little tidbit of what to pack, where to go, where to stay away from, what the best baby carrier, little tidbits...GONE.....my thought are what else could go wrong.Thankfully nothing else major happened.
The week ended on a high note. On Friday night, Andrew and I headed to the city for a bowling dinner. His Tuesday nite league has a big dinner every year with great food, drink, music, dancing and a raffle. Andrew brought $10. worth of tickets. The prizes range from a $20. lottery ticket to, gift certificate for a cookie tray, a floral arrangement, a boom box and the big prize was a 15in LCD/ Flat Screen/HDTV with DVD player. Guess who won the Big Prize? Yep, WE DID! So the week wasn't a total wash.
Now I have to try and start figuring out this new computer. I finally made it thru all my email and slowly I am starting to find some of the blogs I love.
