ONE SMALL STEP !
Over the last few weeks my homestudy has been going back and forth between our social worker, our adoption agency and myself trying to fine tune it and finally yesterday we got a email from our social worker to say that our homestudy was approved. Yay!!! Now what does that mean? We now have to apply to the US DEPT OF HOMELAND SECURITY'S CITIZENSHIP and IMMIGRATION SERVICES (CIS) to get approval to adopt Aislinn and to get her visa to enter the United States. This will take a few weeks, we need to get fingerprinted (Andrew, Mom, Kerri and myself) and once we get their approval we will be just about done with the paper chasing part of this journey.

I don’t know why but, this song plays over and over in my mind at the strangest time. When the little ones are crying I start singing it and it always brings a giggle. Sitting in the bowling alley, waiting on Andrew, I start singing mahna-mahna and someone on the lanes will comes back with the next line. Same thing happened on the elevator the other day, the little guy was in my arms and not sure whether to cry or scream with the closing doors, there was a another gentleman in there with us so I started with mahna-mahna and this nice guy came in with the next line and before the munchkin knew it the doors were open and I thanked the nice man as we walked out. Enjoy the video.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET SIXTEEN

God do I feel old. The oldest of the 11 kids that I have watched over the last 16yrs just turned 16. Micheala aka McKay, button,(thats when she was little and cute), brat, PITA and a few I won't mention here had a party last weekend and took our breath away with her poise, confidents and beauty. The joy she has brought to our lives over the years has been enormous. Aislinn will be very lucky to have Micheala in her life. As always Be Good and Be Safe
