ONE SMALL STEP !Over the last few weeks my homestudy has been going back and forth between our social worker, our adoption agency and myself trying to fine tune it and finally yesterday we got a email from our social worker to say that our homestudy was approved. Yay!!! Now what does that mean? We now have to apply to the US DEPT OF HOMELAND SECURITY'S CITIZENSHIP and IMMIGRATION SERVICES (CIS) to get approval to adopt Aislinn and to get her visa to enter the United States. This will take a few weeks, we need to get fingerprinted (Andrew, Mom, Kerri and myself) and once we get their approval we will be just about done with the paper chasing part of this journey.
