The day in Manhattan was just what the doctor ordered. The girls and I went to lunch at the bar by the train station before heading into Manhattan . We hit a local so the trip took about a hour and when we got into the city the streets were a mad house by Penn station. We quickly started to walk Uptown towards the theater district, window shopping and hitting a few stores along the way. We got to the theater early, found our seats and settled in for an outstanding show. When it was over we started to walk back towards Penn and lucked out by catching the 10:56 ( thought we wouldn't be back to the station till after 11 and have to wait for the 11:36) All in all it was a great day, beautiful weather, a great show, and two young ladies that mean the world to me.

Three tickets to a Broadway show : $225.00

Three Round trip tickets on the Train : $50.00

Spending the day with these two: PRICELESS

I hate when this happens, I try not to let it take over my day but sometimes it is harder to stop then others. Its not jealousy or envy that starts these party's but a longing, a want, a desire if you like. It usually hit hard on Mothers Day or after going to a baby shower. It doesn't last long ( I refuse to let it) I have a bit of a cry, maybe a drink (or two) and then move on.
Yesterdays party came unexpectedly, our neighbors across the road had a healthy baby boy on Saturday morning(their third child). When Andrew & I came home from Upstate @ 11pm on Sunday, we saw the balloons and the stork out on their front lawn. As the Hubs was emptying the truck out, our neighbor came home and Andrew & I went to Congratulate him. As they came home yesterday and the family was gathering around the stork to take pictures and mark this special occasion, that's when it hit me. That want, longing and desire. Before the feelings got to strong I jumped on the computer to cruz some of my favorite blogs. It does help to read about others who are going thru this struggle called adoption and the photos of the children who have come home already always put a smile on my face. Then just as the feeling was starting to leave I came across this
site and this little tidbit ..............

Our prediction for LID 2007-04-26
China has 472 days of dossiers to be processed before they get to your dossier. China currently processes about 5-7 days of dossiers each month.

If China did all future referrals at the exact same speed as they did this month: 2016-10-10

Our best guess - a weighted average of recent CCAA velocities, guessing that CCAA will perform about as well in the future as they are performing now, but might return to previous trends: 2012-07-15

That's our best guess for when you might receive your referral. Just at a guess, we can suppose that the CCAA either speeds up or slows down significantly, and show you those dates. If they speed up: 2010-05-31. And if they slow down: 2016-11-15.

Since China generally sends out referrals in a batch about once per month, your referral date could easily vary +/- one month depending on whether you just get included or just get missed in a particular batch.

OK now this is when the party really got going... I headed straight for the freezer and some Chocolate Ice Cream (thank god it was weight watchers and only 2 points)
Do I believe what I read? NO not at all but it was a bucket of cold water in my face.I've said it before and I believe it, When the time is right and the stars are aligned, the right child will be placed into my arms forever.

Its been one of those weeks, nothing major went wrong, just little things(The list is long and boring but the most annoying thing was my camera fell into a 16oz cup of coffee, guess it time to go get that new camera I was talking about). The little things that prove that your not always in charge, that there is bad karma in my life right now. And then my horoscope for today was.......
You've got to deal with some issues that affect only you and while you can draw on good energy to take care of them, you may not get your usual levels of support from friends or family...
So glad that it is Friday and that we are getting away for 2 days tonight.Heading to the mountains this evening for some peace and quiet! I'm posting my three word early and it so fits........NEED A BREAK

Have a great weekend!

Three Word Sunday

Another busy week at Camp Chaos! Thankfully the weather has been a bit nicer and the kids have been able to play outside. They all go home a bit more dirty & tired but everyone is much happier (including me) LOL. This week we celebrated two birthday, My nephew Seamus and one of my munchkins Circan both turned Three this week. Being the "good Aunt" that I am, I made cupcakes on Thursday and we sang Happy B-day to Circan and on Friday we did it again for Seamus (Circan's birthday was Thursday and Seamus was Saturday). So my three words for this Sunday are "Happy 3rd Birthday!

Three Word Sunday

I can't believe its Sunday again. Another busy week between work, the munchkins and painting the room in the basement. We had a waiting families meeting yesterday afternoon with other FCC-LI families. It is the one time when I feel that there are others that truly understand how I feel and what we are facing (besides my blogging buddies).
Today is Andrew's sister Birthday. So my three words for this week are Happy Birthday Diana! You are a great sister to us both, we love you and hope to see you soon.
