2 Years.... that's a long time and alot has happened. At times I think of giving up but I won't.
Today also marks the 30th passing of my grandmother. Grandma was my only grandparent (dad's parents passed before I was born & mom's dad passed when I was 4) She lived in NYC right in the heart of Manhattan on 2nd ave. When most kids from the city were coming out to the Island for a few weeks during the summer, I was heading into Manhattan to spend a few weeks with Grandma & my Godmother. Many cherished memories of walking thru the city, visiting the church's in the area, going to Central Park to the playground and riding the carousel.
This afternoon Andrew & are in heading into Manhattan to attend a memorial mass for her and have some dinner with my godmother & cousins. The photo below is of my grandmother and I from the last 60's (yea I am dating myself) I believe taken @ the East River Park.

Wow, Double Digits, Our 10 month Lid-iversary, I still must say that the months are flying by. Not allot has been going on here, I am still getting over being sick, Hubby now is a little under the weather. One good thing about being home sick is that I am slowly getting into my "to Do" list. The list is long ( and for some reason seems to get longer day by day) but I finally got the basement all packed up of Kerri's stuff (just need her to come and get all the boxes) then the room will be ready for painting and a new carpet and Andrew will have his Den (or the kids will get a playroom). Then 1 thing will be crossed off that list with only a million more to go!

Another month has fallen to the wayside and with the holidays around the corner I expect this month to fly too. Thanksgiving day was a peaceful event, we arrived at grandma's around 1am (Diana & Mike got there @3am). When we got up in the morning we watched the parade, Andrew & the boys went outside to chop some wood for grandpa and we finished up we the food prep.We were 10 at dinner and as always there was way to much food (good thing we like leftovers) After dinner desert and the clean up, We ( Diana, Mike, Andrew & I) went shopping to walmart. I was surprised that they were open (they are a 24 hour store) and was even more surprised that they were busy. I needed to get birthday gifts for our godchild's birthday and Andrew was looking for hunting pants (he was suppose to go out with his cousin @ 5am Friday morning for some deer hunting). We left on Friday afternoon and arrived home in time for Andrew to go bowling (did you think he was going to miss it? Never) On Saturday we had the twins birthday party (18 screaming 8 year old in a bowling alley) nuff said.
A Happy belated 8th birthday wish to our goddaughter Ariel(in brown) and Alexis.
As always be good and be safe
