It was a beautiful day here in New York for the St Patricks Day parade. I left the house @9;30 to meet up with the others at the AOH hall. The buses were leaving at 10am. After awhile we got on the road and was in Manhattan by noon. Step off for our group was 12:50 but when we got there we were told that the parade was 1 1/2 hours behind. So it was off to a bar for a few drinks, then our line up on 46th street to get ready for our march down 5Th ave. As we were marching down 5th ave the one thing I kept hearing over and over again from the spectators (besides Happy St Patick's Day) was Thank You for Marching today! I don't know why but this surprised me. We finished up our walk @ 84th steet. Then it was off to find the buses and our drive home. We were back home by 6:30. I was a bit tired but all in all it was a good day and can't wait to do it again. The Photo below are Paul and I before for the parade (Paula is the mother of 5 of the munchkins I watch from time to time) A few of the ladies before the line up, Trying to get everyone lined up and finally its over and looking for the buses.
